For fuck’s sake, BEWARE of Cobra Arms. This company is famous for POS Saturday Night Special jam-o-matics, and recently decided to make a Centennial knockoff that they have dubbed the “Shadow.” Shit stain is more like it. These look very similar to the new Charter Arms snubbies and cost about the same. However, unlike Charter Arms, the Cobra Shadow does not work. Numerous reports of these guns malfunctioning or breaking the first time they are fired at the range. That is unacceptable, especially for a $300 gun. One of the most notorious Saturday Night Specials of all, the Zamak-framed Rohm RG-38, is widely considered to be a piece of shit and can be found in many disreputable pawn shops priced well under a hundred bucks—but the RG-38 can reasonably be expected to go bang every time (even if it can’t hit the broad side of a barn from the inside).
